med side effect?

We've recently had some behavioral issues with Tre...ok, yeah, all y'all know them as meltdowns. Interestingly enough, he's been on Singulair. Angelo read an article tonight (Yahoo Health) that talked about the connection of the drug to negative behaviors (even suicidal thoughts) in adults and children. Thinking about it, G's kind of been wierd lately too (attitude issues). I wonder if there's any connection? I'm going to pull Tre off it for a few days and see.

My baby is 7

I can tell you where I was exactly 7 years ago at this very moment. In my hospital room with this beautiful little bundle. Full of adrenaline and trying to figure that nursing thing out.

We did her birthday dinner last night (AWANA tonight). She chose On the Border this year. G was tickled to her the story of the day of her birth, down to who was with us (Auntie June! L:) ).

Without further rambling, the pictures. :)

Just days old here...

Now, 7, waiting for her presents from the littles.

This was the look when Daddy told little Miss Skinny Minnie Long Legs that she was getting a new bike for her birthday.

Talking to Grandpa while he took a break from grading.

Blowing out the candles. She is Mama's girl- very specific in wanting a white cake. ;)

Wordless Wednesday- Toot toot Soul Sisters

Because he's Grandpa...

...and she's Grandma, the bigs now have scooters. Oh, my goodness, they are the fun grownups. Now in all fairness, he did call and ask permission. ;)

Giuliana even gave Daddy a turn.

Bonding with Grandma. Who, not surprinsingly, she preferred all weekend. Apparently, Mama is just chopped liver. ;)

Poor, pitiful Sadey. She's just sure there's another Barbie scooter for her. Or perhaps, she could be the spotter running along side them.

From playing "ruff ruff"

...to thinking she is one.

We've gone over another hurdle. No longer is she afraid of them. Oh, no. She IS one of them. She still doesn't get that she can't run at Sadey yelling and waving her hands "HI girls!" without getting a face cleaning.

Clearly Lulu is not a believer in imitation being flattery.

Being one of them, she too had to go check the door with them.

Egg coloring with Grandma

I'm not sure whether she's the most fun, or has the least amount of sanity. ;) Whatever it is, she gave them their first experience of egg coloring. The ofcourse loved every minute of it.

I'm pretty sure in the first picture, she's clarifying or negotiating some part of the procedure.

Multi-tasking at it's finest. :)

Where there's a tank...

There's probably geocache.

And where there's geocache,

there's probably fiat kids and their father. And, me. Usually behind a camera.

Tre and I made a valiant effort.

Ali was so not sure she wanted to be up there...

Ofcourse, though, with Daddy's glasses, it could be fun.

And, yes, we did finally find it. Giuliana signed the log with her cache name.

She is so my child....Ali & B&R

Not at all surprinsing, Ali LOVES Baskin Robbins.

She's still in the choose your icecream by color age group.

Tre's Easter Party

Craft, cross necklaces.

Post egg hunt. Totally thrilled with the contents.

We took the party treat, which was rice crispy treats made with fruity pebbles. :)

working...

I'm trying to work on updates and having issues publishing...we'll see if this one takes.

The big program

As you may be aware, the first grade program was tonight. AND, Miss G had a speaking part! She was ofcourse delighted and planned it to a T (not at all type A). I was somehow unaware that she also had a finger cymbal part! ;) She did a great job and we celebrated with icecream afterward.

This first one is "where is my mother?!?!" I had a hair appointment right before the program.

She's just figured out I'm in the isle, taking her picture. All is well. She's playing the finger cymbals.

It later occurred to her that she'd really like to know where we're all sitting.

THE speaking part. Very focused. Well done. :)

Tre update...take 2

I almost forgot to update. Remember that ear infection? Uhm, yeah, the antibiotics from Friday apparently weren't big enough guns. Both ears burst over the weekend. I took him in on Monday and she said there was blood/pus on both ears. So, we've switched and he is in fact improving. I can tell because he's not screaming at the ear drops anymore.

Spring time!

I'm really liking our weather this week. I must, before posting apologize to Mom F. I was supposed to post these last night, but had a migraine and went to bed right after the kids...

Yes, I know, it's probably time for Binkaholics Anonymous.

We will occasionally take it out to smile or talk (if forced). In this case, it was to demand "MOMMY push ME!!!"

Growing up. Check out the new boots. Hiking boots like Daddy. We're a little on the thrilled side.

Being silly. And, yes, I'm am *that* mom...I actually let them stand on the swings and sometimes even climb up the slide.

Giuliana staged this picture for us. She was very careful in her arranging.

In case there was any doubt she "still has [her] soccer moves!" ;)

I really do like our doctor...

but really, when you pretty much have the doctor's office on your fave 5...it's time for spring.

Tre was up just about every 2 hours (maybe more) last night. He was insistent that his ear hurt. This was after his codeine cough syrup, tylenol AND motrin. Our wonderful doc's office got us in at 8:50. He was pretty much hopping around the office, not looking sick. Sure enough, the right ear (which has always been his bad one) has a raging infection- enough that he's on both ear drops and oral meds. Poor little guy.

I know this will sound awful, so please, someone hand me the bad mommy baton- but I told the doctor, "after that night, it darn well better be infected. ;) " He laughed, knowingly (he's already raised 3 kids himself). Now, I do kind of feel bad- knowing that he really did hurt that bad. I'll say it again, Ambien Pediatric!

Tamiflu

The title probably says it all. Yep, G appears to have the flu. We're starting the tamiflu. Tre wants to be on it too...if he only knew what he was asking. It's extrememly bitter, even with the flavoring- nasty as can be. She was a trooper and took her first dose without fuss.

What a weekend...

I'm a slacker. I really need to post some pictures. I feel like the kids are just in this major growth spurt.

Last night, we sat up with Giuliana after the littles went to bed and talked with her about how proud we are of her. She's been helping a lot with the little ones and making mature choices that affect the outcome of other's feelings. Wow.

Tre's not on top of his game right now. The antibiotics aren't setting with him as well (unusual with this particular one). He actually asked to go to bed last night and tonight.

Then there's Al. I think she's officially a bink-a-holic. I have no real clue how we'll end the binki, but it should probably be soon. She was a big ol' faker in the nursery this morning and played off that she's little and doesn't talk. They might have been a little surprised at the complete sentences that flowed out of her little mouth when I got there.

I'm tired and have work tomorrow.

For those praying for my mom, thanks. She's doing great. :)
